1) Fall clean-up. We will have a deep clean on Sunday, November 22. We will have two shifts: 11-1 and 2-4 for those interested. Please let me know if you plan to attend so we can limit the number in the facility to six or less.
2) New Schedule: We now have noon face-to-face meetings – Monday through Saturday. We also have revived the Thursday, 830pm face-to-face meeting.
3) Steering Committee: The Steering Committee members are all grateful for the opportunity to serve. But, they are also glad to step aside for anyone who wants to assume additional responsibilities at Gratitude Group. The current positions are Chair (John DP), Vice Chair (vacant), Treasurer (Bob M), Supplies (Bob R), Webmaster (Bob R), Secretary (John Mc), District 18 Group Service Representative (vacant), Intergroup Representative (Jon P). We are also open to the creation of new positions if anyone is interested such as membership outreach, facilities, Area Representative, etc. Let me know if you have interest in any of these before the end of the year. We will confirm the Steering Committee on January 6, 2021.
4) Covid Safety. The following message will be distributed to all members shortly.
The State of Minnesota has updated the Covid Safety Guidelines – Order 20-96. Starting November 12, Gratitude Group will make the following changes.
Covid Tracing – Minneapolis AA Intergroup recommends Covid Tracing to alert members if an outbreak occurs. Trusted Servants are encouraged to record the newcomers’ contact information on the seventh tradition envelopes. The Treasurer will forward this information to the Chair. Members are encouraged to contact the Chair by text at 612-269-6538 if they have tested positive. Testing is now widely available:

Response Plan – the state requires public facilities to have a response plan. A detailed plan will be posted and distributed as soon as possible. All members who have provided contact information will be notified if a case is reported. The facility will be shut down for 24 hours to perform a deep clean whenever one occurs.
Occupancy Limit – Gratitude Group has added additional meeting times with the goal of keeping attendance per room at 7 or less. See our schedule:
The Gratitude Group Meeting Schedule.
Groups that expect to exceed this number should let us know and we can add additional meeting(s) just before or after to balance the flow.
Our members are doing great work to create a safe and welcoming fellowship. Thank you all for supporting our common welfare.
